Holding Hands and Spreading kindness

To be announced

Food Seva: As part of its community outreach objective, RaSi Holds Hands has focused on providing food to the community by having a dedicated pantry which provides food items to families of school going kids.

The first food ‘Seva’ as a drive- thru, was organized at Hayward High School on Dec.14th 2022. It was a well-attended event held on the school premises.   Approximately 2250 meals were distributed. In recognition of the need of the community and positive response received from the recipients, this was turned into a monthly event. After running the drive-thru Seva for a few months, Team RaSi decided to take the ‘Food Seva’ to the next level and established a Pantry at Hayward High School. The school was kind enough to lend us space and RaSi equipped it with a commercial refrigerator and storage units. RaSi pantry opened on Sept. 28th, 2023, this made it possible for us to include fresh and perishable food.

This food seva is not only instrumental in providing food to the families but also serves an important purpose of inculcating the value of community involvement in those High School kids who volunteer during this process.

Outreach– Team Rasi has been doing its weekly donations of food items, hygiene products, toiletries, warm clothing, to two local shelters- Concord Adult Homeless Shelter and Woman and Child Shelter in Bay Point.

Cubby: In September 2023, RaSi Holds Hands entered a partnership with East Avenue Elementary School in Hayward and established RaSi Cubby on campus. The cubby is stocked with school supplies and non-perishable snacks that are replenished on a regular basis throughout the school year and made available to all students.

Holiday Give Away:  Since 2022, Team RaSi has been donating winter apparel for students at various High Schools as part of their Annual Holiday Giveaway.
